Mass Cytometry for Immune Profiling in Chronic Inflammation | Henrik Mei

In support of research at DRFZ Berlin on immune pathogenesis in chronic inflammation and autoimmunity, Dr. Henrik Mei’s lab at the DRFZ Berlin have developed several technical improvements that enabled generation of high-quality mass cytometry data. Mei describes these innovations in this presentation given at the 7th Annual Mass Cytometry Summit in Prague.

→In this live recorded video, Mei presents:
the development of dual fluorescent/metal-tagged antibodies that permit direct cross-platform comparisons
the use of silver nanoparticles for sensitive detection of weakly expressed antigens
the stabilization of cocktails of metal-labeled antibodies for longitudinal or multicenter immune phenotyping studies
the results of a systematic comparison between blood cells of rheumatoid arthritis subjects and matched controls.
