Seminar | Computational Strategies for Mass Cytometry Data Analysis | Nikolay Samusik

Mass cytometry offers a broad view of biological systems on a cellular level but poses unique challenges for data analysis algorithms. These challenges stem from the high dimensionality and complexity of the data. Mass cytometry analysis workflow can be subdivided into general categories: data normalization and preparation, identification of populations, dimensionality reduction, visualization, trajectory mapping and modeling biological/clinical variability between samples. This talk is aimed at giving a systematic overview of popular analysis tools and their applications and showing examples of analysis pipelines aimed at various goals.
